Tip 1: Massage and scrape the area around your ears and the side of your scalp.
This is where your gallbladder and Sanjiao meridian run through. Pay special attention to the acupressure point Shuaigu GB 8, which is very effective for migraine pain. Use TanmuCare sandalwood scalp massage comb, as it is more effective than using your hands. Gently massage these areas to stimulate the acupressure points. If you feel pain at any point, be gentle and massage that area more times. Alternatively, you can scrape the area gently with either side of the tool, applying some pressure for 30 times or until you feel better. Remember to scrape downwards.

Use the massage comb to massage the area near the Fengchi acupressure point, and then scrape downwards for 30 times. Pay attention to the direction, which should be downwards to clear the meridian.
- Acupoint: This point acupuncture point "GB 20" 率谷, is represented by "Fengchi" in pinyin and "Wind Palace" in english and may be found: in the depression along the base of the skull behind the mastoid or ear bone where the neck muscles attach.
- Function: Massaging here is really useful for headache, neck pain, flu and cold symptoms, and eye discomfort.
Tip 3: Relax your shoulders, epsecially around GB 21 area.
Shoulder pain and tension are also closely related to migraine pain. Relaxing your shoulders with simple massage and Gua sha can greatly relieve migraine pain. From a TCM perspective, this is where your gallbladder meridian runs through your shoulders. Use the big curved side of the massage tool to gently scrape downwards until you reach the end of your shoulder. Alternatively, you can choose the U-curved side to massage step by step to relieve the tension. Just remember to massage the acupressure point Jianjing GB 21 multiple times.
- Acupoint: This point acupuncture point "GB 21" 肩井, is represented by "Jianjing" in pinyinmay be found: in the muscles of your shoulder, about halfway between your neck and where your arms begin.
- Function: This point has been used in successful acupuncture studies of headache and muscle tension. Jian Jing may also successfully treat the pain of a sore or stiff neck.
